28 weeks 0 days

28 weeks today... according to babycenter I'm in the 3rd trimester. Where did the time go? I mean really? I remember getting my positive pregnancy test and thinking it would be FOREVER until my first appointment. The only other time I remember things seeming to be dragging was when I was waiting for the 20 week ultrasound. Now it's like the weeks are flying. December has turned in to January and before I know it Tatum will be here. I'm not ready! LoL I want so much to meet this little girl inside my stomach & for Delilah to meet her sister... and yet it's change. Change I'm not 100% ready for- especially not after we seem to be in a comfortable spot with Delilah in our lives.

Last week I had my follow-up ultrasound and appointment. After waiting until what seemed like forever (since having to pee and having Tatum kicking my bladder) I got called back for the ultrasound. The ultrasound went fantastically- the tech got the shots he needed of her heart and then switched to the 3D view. We got better face shots than we did at our elective 3D-4D ultrasound! She even smiled & he got a shot of it! The tech gave me a few extra but I figured he owed me since we only got 22 pics and not 25 pics at the ultrasound last Monday. After the ultrasound I went back out in to the waiting room. No biggie except I STILL had to pee. Got called back for the appointment- was weighed, had my blood pressure taken, and got to pee. Then waited some more in that room until the midwife was out of her previous appointment. I luckily didn't have to wait too long to see her and we got right down to it. She listened to Tatum's heartbeat and measured the fundal height. I asked her the questions I had written down (no internal checks if I don't want- yay!; she has assisted the dr. who will be doing my c-section and will again if she's able... even if she's off- yay!) and then I was on my way out to get some blood work done.

I go back in 2 weeks (well by this time it'll be next Friday!) and then at the next appointment I'll meet with the dr. who will be doing my c-section.

26 weeks 5 days

Today we went to have our 3D-4D ultrasound done. I was so excited to see the baby again & also for Delilah to see the baby again. It actually didn't go as well as it had with Delilah but despite Tatum not being very cooperative we did get some decent shots. It was so neat to see her open & close her mouth as well as suck her thumb. Delilah didn't do any of that stuff although she did give us picture perfect shots. Most of the time Tatum had her face towards my back & was using the placenta as a pillow. Delilah didn't actually seem to care too much but I think it was because she couldn't really tell what she was looking at. At one point we told her to say "Come on sister!" to get her to cooperate & it was so cute, she kept saying it when she came back in the room! Adorable :-D

Wednesday I get to see our precious baby again as I have a follow-up ultrasound so the tech can get a few more shots of her heart (it looked good tonight!) and then I have an appointment after.

I don't know if I've mentioned before that I have the most awesomest parents in the whole wide world but I do! John & I were discussing the items we need which I was then discussing with my mom. Mom said that I should let them know what we wanted them to buy so I figured it'd be a bigger help if they got the car seat. Knowing there would be no way we'd be able to get away with one car seat (no matter what John thinks) and would have to buy another one later I thought we'd also buy one so we'd have two. My mom & dad however offered to buy both car seats since they bought two for Delilah. Thanks Mom & Dad- we love you!

Nothing much really going on- I'm so excited for Monday (yes that just came out of my mouth!) because we have our 3D-4D ultrasound scheduled. I can't wait to see Tatum and I can't wait for Delilah to see her too. The last time she saw her Tatum was only about 9 weeks developed. I'm just hoping she doesn't get upset & freak out about the ultrasound gel being on my stomach LoL Then I get to see Tatum again on Wednesday for my follow-up ultrasound for the tech to get another look at the heart & get the shots he wants (only 7 f-ing weeks later- ugh!). Then Saturday is Christmas! I can't wait to give Delilah her presents :-D

So the blanket isn't going very well- I had to restart it all the way back to the beginning of the pattern because the stitches started being off. Just the other night I seemed to be running in to the same problems and had to re-restart again. So frustrating. John insisted I pick a different pattern but I don't WANT to. I WANT to do this pattern. But if the same thing happens again I will pick a different pattern because this has to be done so I can bring Tatum home in it. The owl for Ash's baby boy is coming along nicely. I finished the body this afternoon and one wing this evening. I am so excited to see it all put together!

I had my appointment last Monday. It was supposed to be with the one midwife "A" but was switched to the OB who I wanted to do my c-section. The receptionist said he wanted to talk to me. I KNEW it was because he was going to tell me he couldn't do the section on the 17th (Thursday) and I was right. He said he got in trouble about it but since he's the head doctor I really don't see how. But whatever. I really didn't want to do it Friday because we were considering having John just go in to work since I'll be in the hospital all weekend anyway and if he does that Friday would not work for a c-section. We did decide however that he'll just take that weekend off so he can be with Delilah & she can have a little bit of normalcy. She's never been away from me for that amount of time- especially overnight- and while she would be in excellent hands it'd just be better if we kept differences in her routine, etc. to a minimum.

ANYWAY- so there was that. The dr. did a stomach check, listened to Tatum (HR was 158- she was moving all around but I didn't really feel her much. I guess she moves more than I think!) He also told me even though I don't have to do the GTT I still have to get b/w & a urine analysis done but didn't tell me when to do it. After I was done & scheduling my next appointment I mentioned to the receptionist about having an u/s done so the tech could get a better look at Tatum's heart. She tried to tell me that they would schedule it at my NEXT appointment (which would make it 8 weeks from the 20 week scan- WTF?). I questioned her & she went to check with the dr. He had forgotten to write it down for her- and he's the one who said at my 20 week appointment that I would have it done in 6 weeks! icon_rolleyes Well I thought she'd schedule it for 2 weeks from the 29th but instead scheduled it 3 weeks from Wednesday as well as my next appointment. I also asked her when I should do the b/w because I wasn't told when & she had to go ask a nurse. Argh Attic_gaah I just feel like they're not so spectacular there this time as they were when I was pregnant with Delilah. Like more lack of communication than anything.

On a happier note we did schedule the elective 3D-4D ultrasound. I wanted to do it Dec 23rd so John could be there but the gentleman that does the ultrasound (the same one who does the ultrasounds at the hospital) said he was leaving for Christmas vacation. So it's now scheduled for December 20th. I'm so excited and can't wait for Delilah especially to see the baby again. The last time she saw Tatum I was almost 9 weeks so there will be a BIG difference :-)

22 weeks 4 days

I've realized I haven't been posting much- time just seems to get away from me. I have so much to do I don't know what to do with myself. I have finished Delilah's blanket which was a huge relief. I started Tatum's blanket as well as her babybook but have also taken on making her & Delilah matching owls (knitted of course). And my friend Ash asked me to make an owl for her son due in January. Gosh I'm exhausted thinking of it all! LoL But it'll be well worth it :-)

The shopping trip was just about a complete let down. I found a bunch of cute pages for the scrapbook but just about no stickers. So I have to order those online. I found yarn for Tatum's blanket that looks beautiful- and the best part, it was on sale! Then we went to Burling.ton Coa.t Fac.tory to look for some long-sleeved onesies but found absolutely nothing. After that we went to the Hal.lmark store to buy Delilah's Christmas ornament.

I have another appointment in a week from tomorrow and then after that I'll have the follow-up ultrasound. I also called to schedule an elective 3D-4D ultrasound. We did one with Delilah and can't wait to do one with Tatum.

20 weeks 3 days

Nothing much really going on- just waiting for my next appointment and getting excited to go shopping Thursday. Not so much for clothes since we have a bunch of stuff from Delilah (but I do need to check how much long sleeved stuff we have) but for scrapbook stickers for the baby book I'm going to make and yarn for Tatum's blanket. O and letters for her room as well as some wooden somethings to paint stuff on.

Speaking of rooms I am soo excited! Tatum will have her own room!! John and I were talking the other night and he said about a space heater. I wasn't too keen on the idea just because I'd rather have a continuous heat source but I was looking around and they have ones that you can set to a temperature that will turn off once it hits the set temperature. I asked my brother if he would put drywall up, replace the door, seal the other door that goes to our now totally open, unprotected balcony thinger (we'll have to put some sort of heavy duty lock on it), lay down laminate flooring, and also run laminate flooring through the upstairs hall. I hope he can get started soon but he's super busy with work so that's why I asked him now. I'm so excited I get to decorate! I want to do a ladybug theme. I'm thinking a light green for the walls. I won't be buying a bedding set but I do want a ladybug lamp, light switch plate, nightlight, and crib sheets. That's why I'm buying some wooden squares to paint ladybug stuff on for decor.

19 weeks 6 days

Today was our anatomy scan and prenatal appointment. We were scheduled for 12:30 but got there 10 minutes early and got called back 10 minutes early too. John was in the bathroom so I had to go run and get him before we could go back. When we got back there the tech started right away. The baby was curled up in to a ball and was nestled low down in to my uterus. I was nervous that the tech wouldn't be able to tell what the gender was but he found it. We're having another girl! We are so excited that Delilah will have a sister and I can't wait to pull out all those cute little baby girl clothes we used for Delilah. After our ultrasound we went back out in to the waiting room to wait (ha, go figure) to go back to see the doctor.

He came in shortly after we got settled in to the exam room and went over the ultrasound report. Baby is measuring 11 ounces, and the heartrate was 159 when the dr. listened to it on the doppler. I'm not sure what the tech said the heartbeat was the tech measured it- I thought I heard 149 but I could be wrong. Anyway the dr. also said that the tech couldn't get all the measurements on the heart he wanted so I have to go back for another u/s in 6 weeks. I'm not worried about it though because I know my friend had that problem with her sons and they were just fine.

I asked the dr. about him doing my c-section even if it wasn't on a Friday. He said his OR day was Fridays but said that if he was in town he could do it. Then he asked why and I said I was hoping to have it done on March 17th which is a Thursday. He said he'd have to bump the dr. out that has the OR on Thursdays for a time slot but he didn't think it'd be a problem. So my c-section is scheduled for March 17th with him. At my last appointment the midwife had said that maybe I wouldn't have to take the Glucose Tolerance Test since I'm taking such a high dosage of Metformin and could do some fasting bloodwork. She wanted me to bring it up to the dr. today so I did and thankfully I'm getting out of that test! O I could've kissed the dr. LoL! Something I've been curious about is it was put in the report he did after performing my last c-section was that I wouldn't be a good candidate for a VBAC but it never said why. I asked him today why that was and he said that when he was in there he noticed that the baby never descended in to my pelvis. I guess it's just not built properly. At least with a repeat c-section though I won't have to labor first and I know the date we'll meet our 2nd little princess.

After our appointment we headed home to wait for Delilah to wake up so we could go out to pick out an outfit as a family. We stopped at Boscov's but surprisingly they had nothing I liked. Then we went to Gymboree so I could look there before we went to Bonton. They had the cutest panda bear stuff at Gymboree but I wasn't paying $16.75 for just one onesie. So off to Bonton we went where we found a really cute elephant outfit. John wandered off and found a beanie baby Hello Kitty doll for Delilah so she could have a big sister gift.

18 weeks 3 days

Nothing much to really update- feeling pretty good. Time is flying- which is good and bad. Good because not only do we get to see our sweet baby soon but we'll be meeting him/her before we know it. Bad because I still don't have Delilah's blanket done LoL I have about 2 weeks and some odd days to get it done. I'm going to have to kick butt here. I'm also trying to figure out when the heck I'm going to knit this baby's blanket as well as do his/her scrapbook.

I did have an insurance scare the other day. I had gotten home from work & John told me there was a message on his voicemail from the insurance company. Of course by the time I listened to it the lady (a caseworker) had gone for the day. I was so worried thinking of all the things they could be calling about including that because I have PCOS I'd have to pay out of pocket for my care (since it was a "pre-existing" condition & I didn't have this insurance when I was diagnosed). I called the lady's number & left her a voicemail with my cell phone number. I was so anxious for the next morning to arrive. I got to work and went to pull out my cell phone... and it wasn't there! I had left it at home- argh!! So I called the lady's number (thankfully I took the paper with me) and called her. I wanted to get this over with. I got a hold of her and she asked me how I was doing. I told her I was fine, asked her the same, and told her I was nervous. She told me not to be nervous and that she is given cases that she looks over & if something sticks out that she needs more information on she calls the insured.

She got my file and went on to say that it showed I have Type II diabetes. I said "Um, noooo." Then she asked me what I took the Metformin for (a diabetic drug sometimes used for the treatment of PCOS) and I told her that I was taking it because of the PCOS. She said that the dr. office hadn't noted in my file that I was taking it for something other than Type II diabetes. She was calling to verify if that was correct because they like to follow cases of pregnant women with Type II diabetes closely because there's an increased risk of issues. I was sooo relieved to find out that it was just a simple question such as that. It also makes me wonder why the heck the dr. office writes down or leaves out things are seem to be crucial information.

My 18 week picture- I have to remember not to wear this shirt for pictures again. It doesn't help that I look more fat than pregnant :-\

17 weeks 2 days

Two days ago I was trying to listen to the heartbeat. But the baby was moving all over the place and I could not get a lock on the heartbeat. Maybe I shouldn't have a coke before trying to listen to the baby LoL! When I finally got the heartbeat on the doppler I felt a little nudge. I felt the baby moving! It's the first time I distinctively felt the baby & knew it was the baby.

Today I had my appointment- I was actually able to see the midwife I really like "A". I wasn't sure I was going to see her because last I had heard she was out on a medical leave. Anyway my weight and blood pressure was good. The baby sounded good- his/her heartrate was in the 150s. I told "A" that I would like to schedule my next appointment for the 2nd of November because we have off for Election Day. It's a Tuesday which means the ultrasound tech is in (woo hoo!) and so is Dr. S. We also talked about the GTT (glucose tolerance test). I *might* be able to get out of it this time around which would so rock. "A" said that I may just be able to do a fasting test without drinking the drink. Especially since I'm taking such a high dosage of Metformin.

I have my anatomy scan scheduled for November 2nd at 12:30. I was hoping to get in earlier in the day but that's the earliest time I was offered. Poo... I hate waiting! LoL I'm excited to see the baby again and also to see Dr. S. He did my c-section with Delilah. I really want him to do the c-section for this baby. But I also want to ask him why he put in his report that he didn't recommend that I try for a VBAC. I'm just curious because there was no reason recorded. Also I'll ask him his opinion regarding the GTT and if there were any alternative tests we could do ("A" told me to ask him). So excited I'll be seeing the babe in about 3 weeks!!

16 weeks 2 days

The heartbeat... a sweet, sweet sound when you hear it for the first time. I heard it for the first time at my 13 week appointment on the midwife's doppler. Before that I had tried on my POS doppler that I ended up selling. Today my new doppler came and I was very excited to try it out. After I put Delilah to bed I went to our room and made myself comfortable. Maybe 20 minutes or so, and lots of ultrasound gel later I finally, finally found my little darling's heartbeat. What a beautiful sound! It took a bit and baby was moving around (I heard the movement on the doppler) but I finally got him/her to stay still long enough to hear him/her. I tried to reach the phone to call John so he could hear too but of course that bit of movement made me lose it & then I couldn't find it again. Ah well- he'll hear it soon enough :-)

16 weeks 0 days

I am 16 weeks today! Next week is my appointment- yay!! Then I'll get to schedule the anatomy scan. I'm hoping to get it done the first week of November. I don't think I could wait any longer than that! This whole waiting thing is killing me- I'm really having a harder time this time waiting between appointments (well mainly this appointment & the next).

We've decided on a middle name for a girl- Hannah. We were thinking about using the middle name Elizabeth because I'm just not too fond of some other family member names/middle names to use them. I was talking to my mom last Sunday and asked her what my grandma's mother's name was. I knew my grandma had mentioned the name Faye when I was pregnant with Delilah and I was like "Um, no.". Great grandma's name was Hannah Faye but she went by Faye. I really like how Tatum Hannah sound together so that's our middle name!

I bought another doppler. I just got to thinking more about it and felt as though I would feel better if I had one (one that works anyway). John & I talked about it on Saturday and I ordered one on Sunday. Unfortunately it still has yet to ship which also makes the waiting difficult. I want my friggin doppler! LoL Did I mention I don't wait well?

14 weeks 2 days

14 weeks already! I think I'm going to do this every time I post LoL I just cannot believe how fast things are going. But it's almost like they're not going fast enough since the anatomy scan seems like FOREVER away.

I'm selling my doppler- I've had enough. I just can't seem to hear the heartbeat. I don't know if I'm not pushing hard enough or if the baby is moving & I can't lock on it long enough to hear it. I was going to buy a new one on Ama.zon. A lot of girls on my due date board got one from there & they all love it. I got to thinking that maybe I won't buy another one though. I don't need it for reassurance at this point- I just thought it would be nice to be able to whip it out & hear the heartbeat. I also thought it'd be neat for Delilah to hear the heartbeat once the baby got a little bigger. But I figure I'll just save the money for something we'll need for the baby- like scrapbook stickers for the babybook I'm making :-D

I've noticed this time around I'm not as worried as I was with Delilah's pregnancy. I got a little manic at first- especially reading of people losing their little ones at the beginning of our pregnancies on my due date board. One thing I haven't gained since Delilah's pregnancy is patience. I'm not waiting in between each appointment any better than with Delilah LoL

I took a belly pic the other day & I think my belly has rounded out a little more. With the other pics I think it's more like bloating- or maybe it's just the shirt. I dunno but I'm posting comparison pics below.

13 weeks 2 days

I had my 2nd prenatal appointment today. It all went really well- my blood pressure was good, I'm down 2 pounds (not very surprised since I have major food aversions & a hard time finding things to eat), and all my blood tests and the 24 hour urine analysis looked good. Baby is doing good- his/her heart rate was 150. I was FINALLY able to hear it! The baby was positioned right over my bladder. I couldn't believe how hard the midwife had to push though to find the heartbeat. I certainly wasn't pushing that hard with my doppler.

I return in 4 weeks and will schedule my anatomy appointment at that point. I can't wait to see the baby again- I hope the baby cooperates and shows the goods. Or lack thereof hehe

13 weeks 0 days- 2nd tri baby!

I am 13 weeks today- 2nd trimester has begun (well I guess it depends on what website or person you ask but I'll go with this). Yesterday I got a much needed pampering at the hair salon. I got highlights & a cut. Ahh- so much better! Still can't hear the baby's heartbeat on the doppler. I either need new batteries in it or like I've said before baby just moves before I can lock on to the heartbeat to be able to hear the sound. This Friday is my appointment- I can't wait to go!

The blanket for Delilah is coming along pretty well and I've already got this LO's pattern picked out. I can't wait to find out what we're having so I can go buy the yarn for the blanket! I'm thinking for a girl I'd like to do a purple & white color- like the kind that's multi color with just the two colors. For a boy I'm not sure- definitely blue but I don't want plain blue. And I want more than the blue & white multi color.

I've changed my mind on names- I'm not liking Luna or Claire for the list anymore. I've been really liking Tatum lately with Arianna in the 2nd slot. But I'm kind of iffy on Arianna already. The boy list is the same except for I took off the name Gerard. I did like it last time but I just don't think I like it as much this time around. I'll worry about it more once we have our anatomy scan if the little stinker cooperates.

12 weeks 1 day

Wow- 12 weeks. I just can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going!! I know I said that back at 10 weeks but there's just something about hitting 12 weeks and being 1 week away from the 2nd trimester. I'm so excited for next Tuesday & Friday- Tuesday I have a hair appointment for a much needed trim and possibly a highlighting. Friday is my appointment where I'll get to hear the baby's heartbeat. I still can't get the heartbeat on the doppler- Little Frankenpebble just won't stay still long enough for the heartbeat to register on the doppler. Ahh well. Maybe the midwife will have a hard time getting the heartbeat & I'll have an impromptu ultrasound :-)

On Face.boo.k a friend of mine suggested I like this page called Baby Half Off. They post things about baby items on sale. The one day they had diaper bags on sale. Kalencom Eleanor Collection Diaper Bags- you can see them here. They're usually $90 (OMG!) but were on sale for $36. The peacock one caught my eye and I had to have it. I decided to look for it on Ebay just to see if I could get it cheaper. It was about $11 more on Ebay with free shipping. I thought shipping was $6something on Baby Half Off but it ended up being like $15.80 making the bag over $50. WTF?! So I got the one on Ebay and it should be here tomorrow. I am soo excited to get it!

I've been knitting Delilah a blanket to replace the one I originally made for her that she ruined. I need to get it done by the time we find out if we're having a boy or girl (if the little stinker cooperates!). I decided I didn't like any of the blankets in my one book and couldn't find any that I liked searching on the yarn sites. So I bought a new book and found 2 I like. I'm hoping I can pull it off because they look a little complicated but we'll see!

11 weeks 3 days

Nothing much has really been going on- I've been feeling the same: occasional nausea, frequent urination, mild heartburn a few times a week, and hungry just about any time I'm not nauseated. My next appointment is two weeks from yesterday- I can't wait to finally hear the heartbeat!

I say finally because I bought a fetal doppler. I decided that after I saw two more ladies leaving my due date board I wanted to get one. I looked in to this one brand- H.i Be.be- and it was so expensive new. I just couldn't justify the expense for just peace of mind. I looked on ebay and found one for super cheap- of course it was used but hey, it was in good working order. I mentioned it to John and I think he would've been up for it if I hadn't mentioned the board. He thinks it puts funny ideas in to my head and sometimes it does. The next day after I had talked to him about the doppler I had brought it up again that night. I had found another doppler for $35 + free shipping buy-it-now. I asked him if he would be upset if I got one and he really didn't answer me one way or another. So I decided to look at the ones I had seen earlier. One was up for auction with a few hours to go. I was going to bid on that one toward the end and if I didn't win that one I was going to just buy the buy-it-now one. I had seen that someone had inquired about the buy-it-now one so I was concerned that I would wait for the one on auction, not win it, and then go to get the buy-it-now one and it would be gone. So I just bought the one that was readily available for purchase.

It came a few days later and I was so excited to try it out (although I fully knew that I might not find the heartbeat or even hear it because I was only 10w5d). Then a thought occurred to me... the probe probably touched that gals "lady hair" so I definitely needed to clean it off with rubbing alcohol. I went to clean it off and noticed there was some residue from the ultrasound gel she used. Um, ew!! Come on people- clean your stuff off before you send it to the winning bidder.

I've been able to find the heartbeat but I haven't been able to hear it. I don't know if it's because the baby moves before I can really lock on to the heartbeat or if I'm not pressing hard enough or who knows what. It's neat to see that number flash across the screen for even a second & know it's the baby.

I'm really excited to find out what we're having. John & I prefer a girl for different reasons but obviously a boy would be loved. However I have this ridiculous fear that I'd be disappointed to find out it was a boy. I wouldn't be and there's nothing wrong with a boy- we'd love what we had no matter what. But I do know some women who also feel the same. I'm afraid to even tell someone about that fear because a lot of people wouldn't understand. Or might take it the wrong way like there's something wrong with one gender or another. The most important thing to me is that this baby is healthy regardless of the sex and I don't want people to think I wouldn't love my son should we have a boy.

Mainly I just want to see our little Frankenpebble (don't ask) again!

10 weeks 0 days

10 weeks today- I just can't believe how fast it seems to be going as of late. I felt like the first few weeks just crawled! I think it's because I was anxiously awaiting my appointment. It's unreal to think in 3 weeks I'll be 13 weeks... and my appointment will be 2 days after I'm 13 weeks. I can't wait to hear the baby's heartbeat! Nothing much really new happening- I haven't felt too nauseated (well I did yesterday). Mostly I just pee a lot and have mild heartburn about every day now. Ugh! Very annoying.

I took a new belly pic today but it looks more like a fat pic instead LoL It's a little bigger- or more like I can't suck it in as much ;-)

The pink shirt is 8 weeks, the grey one is from today

8 weeks 5 days

I had my appointment today- finally! It went really well... except for the part where Delilah just wouldn't cooperate. But I have to cut her some slack- we had waited awhile and it was her nap time. Baby looks good and is measuring 2 days ahead. My EDD is now 3/23. I have to have a repeat c-section- Dr. S who did my first c-section put in his report that he did NOT recommend that I try for a VBAC. Which I knew because my midwife A had told me when I went in for my yearly after I had Delilah. When she told me this though she said that when I get pregnant again we can discuss a VBAC if I want to. Anyway, so yesterday she relayed this information again and I asked her if she knew why (which I had asked her before too). She didn't because Dr. S didn't put in a reason. She said that she respects his decision so that meant no discussions. I guess in a way it takes a small weight off my shoulders because then I had the decision made for me and I don't have to worry about what I should do. I'm not sure when it'd be scheduled for but I'm hoping we can schedule it for St. Patrick's Day. No, I'm not Irish- I'm German. But I just think it'd be neat. My next appointment is in September- I can't wait to hear the baby's heartbeat!

7 weeks 6 days

I've made it- well almost. Monday is our appointment. FINALLY! I'll be 8 weeks 3 days. I cannot wait to get in there & see the baby. I just pray that everything is ok (which I'm sure it is since I'm still having preggo symptoms LoL). I'm really excited to have John & Delilah there too. When I had my first appointment with Delilah, John wasn't able to make it. But my mom was so that was really cool to have her there to see the baby :-)

The past few days I haven't been nauseated at all- just hungry ALL the time. Like I just ate a Fiber One bar a few minutes ago & I'm still hungry. Argh! I do try to make sure I eat healthy things since I'm so hungry all the time. That's kind of hard when I want salty stuff & the only thing salty we really have is chips. But I'm happy to say that I don't have those too often.

I've been thinking about having a c-section as opposed to trying for a VBAC. Even though I've always felt cheated of having a vaginal birth with Delilah, I was 100% sure I would go with the c-section. There's a few perks like knowing when your baby is coming and not having to go through labor just to have a c-section anyway. I was also planning on having the doctors "take care of things" while they were in there. With a c-section I could go in to it well rested and not exhausted from having labored for how long. *sigh* This is so hard! With a VBAC there are risks- like you could have uterine rupturing. However I've seen this risk has a pretty low percentage. With a c-section things would be easy however it's still a major abdominal surgery with a longer recovery time than a vaginal birth. I don't know if I'll be lucky again to go on my own this time and so close to my due date which would mean I'd probably end up getting sectioned anyway because I know they won't want me going a week past my due date (because of the PCOS) and they won't (I don't think) induce someone who's had a c-section. I think you're only a good candidate for a VBAC if you go naturally.

Even though I am filled with doubt I'm thinking that we'll just end up going with the c-section. There's just too many what-ifs for me to feel comfortable. Argh... the decisions! Thankfully I really don't have to give this too much thought since I have awhile to decide (agonize over) our final verdict.

Tomorrow I am taking my first belly pic- stay tuned for the posting of that picture plus the ultrasound picture!

7 weeks 3 days

The past two days I have been worried- I haven't been feeling like I'm peeing as much or that I'm as hungry as I usually am (mostly in the morning when I'm SUPER hungry) or nauseated. I almost wished that I would throw up so I would know little pebble is ok. Crazy huh? LoL Today though I got some relief- well so to speak since I felt nauseated most of the afternoon and was afraid I was going to throw up on the way back to take John dinner (I didn't). I've been feeling as though I can't possibly wait for my appointment- now a week from tomorrow. But today I felt calmer about things & I'm pretty sure I can wait patiently. Of course that *is* today- who knows what tomorrow will bring ;-)

I was going through this pregnancy planner I had kept with Delilah- mostly I used it for my appointments & stuff I wanted to put on my registry. The rest of the book was left unused. If I hadn't gotten it for free it would have been a hefty waste of money. Well $20 but still- I used about $5 worth maybe. Anyway I saw that I had my first appointment with Evangeli.cal when I was 8 weeks 6 days. This time I'll be 8 weeks 3 days. Of course that appointment wasn't that bad to wait for since I got to see Delilah when I was 6 weeks 5 days at the fertility clinic at Ge.isinger.

It's so weird- I have food aversions this time & I didn't last time. Now that's not the weird part. The weird part is that I have a hard time looking at food in television commercials. It was all I could do not to gag when different commercials came on showing slabs of steak, chicken, shrimp, burgers, etc. I have to look away because I seriously feel ill. I'm so weird LoL

6 weeks 6 days

What's in a name? For this little one's name I want it to be something unique but not crazy weird. I see names people name their children on the Gei.sing.er website and it's like WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?! I mean come on- don't these people think past these kids' childhood and to adulthood? Do you really think that someone is going to want to hire a person named Cashmyre? Seriously people. We're pretty set on a boy name- I only like one and don't have other options. Although I feel like I should look at other boy names because what if we have a boy & he doesn't come out looking like the name we picked? For girl names I had one I liked from our list when I was pregnant with Delilah. Then I thought of a 2nd one I liked. And yesterday I thought of yet a 3rd one I liked. I know I don't have to worry about this yet and I'm really not- I'll think about it more seriously after we find out what we're having (not until November- ugh!).

Another thing that I've been thinking about that was brought up on my due date board is when will Delilah come to the hospital? I'm going to have a repeat c-section & will be in recovery for an hour. I won't get to even see the baby until I go back to my room. I thought I'd have Delilah be there right away but as I thought about it more I figured that after I'm brought back to my room I want to bond with the baby a little before Delilah comes. I don't want her to be there & feel like mommy isn't paying attention to her. I'd like to have some time with the baby so I don't feel like I'm being torn trying to bond with the baby & pay attention to Delilah. So I think what we'll do is maybe have her come to the hospital after her nap (if I get sectioned in the morning). If I have an afternoon section we'll have her come in after dinner. Again- not something I need to worry about now but definitely something I'd like to get thinking about.

I found the cutest pregnancy planner on Ebay. It's called Prego Planner and it has all the stuff in it that I'm looking for. For Delilah I had this neat thing called The Essential Pregnancy Organizer and also a calendar planner that Ash had gotten me. I decided not to get the pregnancy organizer this time around but I did want a calendar planner. I can't find one anywhere like the one Ash had gotten me. I came across this which is a combination of the organizer & the planner. While I don't *need* all the things in it I would like to have it.

6 weeks 0 days

Today I am 6 weeks. Symptoms are still the same but the nausea has seemingly died down. Now it's just more a constant hunger. Is little peanut going through a growth spurt? Gosh I hope so.

Why is it easier to tell someone not to worry than it is to do just that? Why do I have to keep seeing people posting on my due date board saying that they're leaving? Why do I have to sometimes read those posts and see how far along they were? Or how far along they were *supposed* to be. I am 6 weeks today and have my appointment in about 3 weeks. 3 long, torturous weeks. I am praying that we don't go in like some women at 8 or 9 weeks only to see that their little beans stopped growing at 6 weeks. How do you deal with that? How do you deal with reading that someone lost their baby while you're pregnant & hoping upon hope that your baby is ok?

Why can't I just be like "one of those" women who sail through their pregnancies seemingly unaware of all that could go wrong? Who seem to have not a care in the world.

On a lighter note- I think John just gave the little one a nickname. I was calling him/her peanut. He just called him/her our little pebble. I like that better than peanut- everyone calls their baby peanut or jelly bean or something. I want something different for our little pebble hehe The name just sticks.

I've been feeling bad today- Delilah had been having a difficult afternoon which crossed over into a difficult evening for me. I know later it was closer to her bedtime but I had been short with her a few times. I try so hard to keep my mood in check. I don't want to take things out on her or get too moody with her. It's not her fault- she's just being an almost 2 year old.

5 weeks 5 days

I'm 5 weeks, 5 days today. Things have been going pretty well- I've had nausea, of course using the bathroom a lot, I've been hungry a lot, and... that's about it I think. I've had a lot of cravings- mostly for salty things or veggies. I'm totally craving cottage cheese with peaches & hummus with carrots or crackers. My first appointment is scheduled for August 16th & it sure as heck can't come soon enough! I can't wait to get there & get the reassurance that lil peanut is ok and growing properly.

Delilah's been so cute- the other day we were all sitting on the couch. She turned to me, patted my arm & said "Hi momma." Then she turned to John, patted his arm & said "Hi daddy." I asked her if she could say hi to the baby. I knew she didn't really know what exactly I meant so I took her hand, put it on my belly & said "Hi baby." Then I asked her if she could do it. She then put her hand on my stomach & said "Hi baby." Ever since then if I ask her where mommy's baby is she'll pat my tummy. I also can't wait for my appointment because Delilah & John are going to be with me and I'm excited for Delilah to see the baby on the screen.

I've been going through a lot of mixed emotions- I go from being scared that something has happened to being reassured because peanut reminds me he/she is in there when he/she makes me nauseous. I'm terrified of having a missed miscarriage- it doesn't help that I see stuff like that on my due date board on fertilityfriend. I don't read the posts though- I can't. And then I feel bad that I'm not offering these women who just lost their babies words of support. I sure did forget how worried I was when I was pregnant with Delilah. It's not any better this time!
